All About the Craft

As writers, you are told many things.

   Keep up with the market.
Build your platform using Social Media.
   Network.
   Have a hook.

But the one thing above all else that we're told is Develop Your Craft.

How do you do that? If you are a writer of children's and young adult literature, you should look into the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. They have resources and events from big scale conferences where you can meet editors and agents down to a local schmooze where you can get together with other writers to talk craft.

If you are anywhere near Denver, CO, consider attending the Letters and Lines: Rocky Mountain SCBWI 2013 Fall Conference September 28-29.
